CommentsStepping out of my ordinary life and sitting in the sun to have my morning coffee, I relaxed in the rocking chair on the porch at the Yellowstone Basin Inn. Watching the clouds shadows dance cross Yellowstone Park that appeared only an arms length away with a soft breeze caressing the air was serene to say the least. Soaking in the hot tub and watching the sun dip into the horizon topped the experience after a delightful day of viewing the park. The owners and staff were superb not to mention the accommodations! They directed us to a wonderful restaurant and gave us suggestions on where the best views at Yellowstone Park were. I will go back. Sandra James Tahoe City, CA
CommentsI had the chance to spend a week in your Inn and to combine it with trips to the Yellowstone national park, which is very near. The Inn is very clean, comfortable and cozy. The views at the mountains are spectacular! The staff is very accommodating and really made us feel at home. I can say nothing else but superlatives about everything. Thank you very much for such a wonderful week, I just hope I will have more opportunities to visit this beautiful place. S. Bayer, Czech Republic
CommentsYellowstone Basin In is a great place to just stay and relax and or a perfect place from which to explore the nearby Yellowstone Park. During our stay we made several trips into the wondrous world of Yellowstone, one of the greatest experiences in anyone's life. Sabina and Bert
CommentsGreg & Sabina, Thank you so much for your hospitality. You have a great place there. You guys made us feel right at home. We could really tell that you guys enjoy your job. PS. The continental breakfast was a nice surprise. Jason sure enjoyed the chocolate muffins. Mike & Sue Morency, Cincinnati, Ohio
CommentsThanks for everything, we really enjoyed our stay.... We may make it a regular getaway!! The Morse Family
CommentsOur stay at the Yellowstone Basin Inn couldn't have been more perfect! We have had the good fortune to be able to travel around the US and the world for the last 7 months. Our little journey has found us in countless guest rooms. As such, we feel comfortable in saying that our experience at the Yellowstone Basin Inn truly rates 5 stars! A clean, comfortable room; nicely appointed; top rate amenities. And if that weren't enough - a gourmet meal with so many interesting people. Does life get any better then this? This is going to be very hard to top. Muchisimas gracias Michele and Carlos Molina, Bellingham, WA
CommentsWe spent Labor Day weekend in the Yellowstone Suite and could not have asked for a better place!! Clean, comfortable and romantic place for a couple with great access to the park, rafting, etc. Greg and Sabina were fantastic with ideas and recommendations. We would highly recommend this place to anyone staying near Yellowstone!
CommentsWhat a great hotel! The Yellowstone Basin Inn was very comfortable, clean, restful, and an overall great value! After a long day of exploring Yellowstone, it was nice to come to such a nice hotel to relax. The inn-keepers were very nice, helpful, and we enjoyed talking to them in the morning over the free continental breakfast! We will recommend this inn to anyone! We will always stay here when in Yellowstone!- The Bowling's (Visalia, CA)
CommentsI want to thank you for being so hospitable to our newlyweds who were with you last month. They had a wonderful time!! They were thrilled with the champagne and Mountain Dew waiting for them and absolutely loved the suite . . and of course Yellowstone. They couldn't say enough about how helpful you were to them regarding things to do and places to eat. As predicted, they insist we visit you too! We hope to over the next few years as Yellowstone is on our list of places to see. And now we know of a great place to stay!! Thanks again, Claudia Desrosiers.
CommentsThere cannot be a better place to stay while visiting Yellowstone National Park. I only wish we would have booked more days at the Yellowstone Basin Inn. My desire is to see the park during the spring and fall and perhaps the winter and I know your inn is where I would stay. We stayed in accommodations in three states this summer while visiting four national parks, and without question, I choose the Yellowstone Basin Inn as my favorite. Linda and Mark Billingsley, Lima, Ohio
CommentsI posted these comments to Tripadvisor.com: We stayed for a week in Yellowstone Basin Inn's Cottage Suite. It is huge, with a downstairs playroom and a bedroom for our 4 kids with 2 double beds (or larger?). There is another small bedroom upstairs, which my daughter immediately claimed as her own, and a nice master bedroom with connecting bathroom. The kitchen is larger than my own kitchen at home! This "hotel room" is really a HOUSE!!! Everything was immaculate. We were very relaxed and refreshed by the view and peacefulness at the hotel. One day we hung out at a small beach by the river (you can see the river from the hotel), another day we went horse-back riding (very wonderful), we got some groceries at the store in Gardiner, only a few minutes away...we ate a delicious dinner at the Light House Restaurant a few miles away...and soaked our feet in the hot tub several times. Greg and Sabina, the owners were pleasant and VERY interested in making sure we enjoyed our stay. On our way out of town, we drove through Yellowstone National Park, to the Grand Tetons and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful! Our trip through seven states lasted 3.5 weeks, and, by far, we liked our stay at the Yellowstone Basin Inn the best. No hotel we stayed in, in 7 states, was as clean and tranquil. AAA should re-evaluate their two-star rating and give the Yellowstone Basin Inn three stars. Becky Hunter, Goleta, CA
CommentsDear Greg and Sabina, We wanted to thank you again for a wonderful place to spend our vacation. We enjoyed it tremendously and will recommend your place to others. Best of luck. Maura and Steve Porricolo
CommentsGreg and Sabina, We just wanted to tell you both one more time what a great stay we had at your Inn. It seemed more like a bed and breakfast than a motel. The Rainbow Trout room was perfect and kept very clean. We really appreciated that. If we ever return to the Yellowstone area, we would consider no other place to stay. Mike, Mary Ann and David Mecher Cincinnati, OH
CommentsMy wife and I spent a week at the Inn in three different rooms/suites including La Duke, Yellowstone Suite, and the Cottage. All three were excellent but we recommend the Yellowstone Suite. It's like living at home only better. Wake up to spectacular mountain scenery and spend your evenings on the balcony looking for shooting stars. The Inn itself is fairly new and very clean. We also found the beds to be really soft and comfortable. We would stay here again. Rick & Patti August 2008
CommentsDear Greg and Sabina, We thoroughly enjoyed our July 2007 visit to your wonderful inn situated so beautifully along the Yellowstone River surrounded by the majestic Montana mountains. Our room was clean, nicely furnished and very comfortable with mountain views to die for. Breakfast on the front porch was just awesome. And your hospitality made it all the more special. There are so many wonderful places in the world and the USA to visit, but we hope one day to return to the Yellowstone Basin Inn. Sincerely, Jill and Tom Brown and granddaughter Grace
CommentsMy wife and I stayed at the Yellowstone Basin Inn for several days this past August. We absolutely loved it. We got a wonderfully friendly welcome when we arrived along with some very welcomed tips about how to get the most out of our visit to the park. The location is fantastic. The views of the mountains on one side, and the Yellowstone River, right out your front porch are amazing. And the rooms, fantastic. Comfortable, homey, perfectly kept and modern. I highly recommend it. And if I could, I would triple underline that last comment. Also, pay attention to their recommendations for where to eat. They know what they're talking about!!! David and Daphne Kerr Stafford, Virginia
CommentsGreg & Sabina, thanks so much for your hospitality & helpfulness. We had a great experience, augmented greatly by Greg's advice & tips. It is a beautiful spot & a comfortable Inn. You have helped us to make memories for a lifetime & we will be spreading the word at home and on the internet. And now, a rhyme for you: If it's the Park you're chasin'- Check in at the Basin- 'Cause Greg & Sabina- Through your visit will lead ya'- And you'll feel great elation. Dave Rosser - Cottage Suite June 20, 2008
CommentsWe were guests at the Inn during the first week of September 2008. We had been there the year before and had such a wonderful time that we just had to come back. The Inn is comfortable, spacious and exceptionally well kept. Its also amazingly quiet. The experience of walking out on the porch late at night, with the sound of the Yellowstone River far off in the distance, and a sky full of stars is absolutely magical. The innkeepers are cheerful, fun, and have great suggestions for what to see and do. David and Daphne Kerr, Stafford, Virginia
CommentsWe really had a wonderful time in your Inn and in the Yellowstone Park. In our opinion we couldn't have had a better place to stay than yours. We loved the peacefulness and the quiet atmosphere (a big contrast to the village at the entrance of the Park), the nice and comfortable room and your advices for our daytrips. We look back on a wonderful vacation in the States and Canada. We loved the space, the long roads and the nice people we met. Again thank you for helping us to have such a good time. Jan Berend and Annette van der Wijk (the Netherlands)
CommentsDear Greg & Sabina,
CommentsWe thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay at your Inn on 9/15/2009. Your Inn is very cozy, clean, roomy, and quiet. We especially liked the small kitchenette, your hospitality, and the continental breakfast. The room was very comfortable and the beds were heavenly. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stop by and spend some time again. We highly recommend your place. Even though it is 4 miles out of Gardiner, it is just a quick trip back for a restaurant or the entrance to the Yellowstone National Park. Thanks for a great night. Rose & Joe Guyther, Maryland.
CommentsThank you for adding to our perfect trip. The western
leg of Yellowstone, the journey back to Jackson, was so much easier after Greg
shared his wisdom on what to see. We still managed to make the trip into an 11
hour day but I didn't have to invent the wheel, just follow directions. Our
accommodations at the Yellowstone Basin Inn were well appointed, clean and
spacious. So welcomed and enjoyed. |
